1 Minute Price Action and 2 Day RSI

The RSI value is the gate keeper and the lower the number the more oversold the stock is and the less trades you will get. Use this to filter out losing trades. The other variable is the RSI days. Default is 14 but if you want more trades you can made the number small. In this example RSI is 2 days which gives more trades. The Bar timing is another filter. The smaller the number the more trades you will get.

If you have to many loosing trades make the number bigger. In this example I use 1m which will get you more trades than higher values like 15m or 1h. You need to customize this for each stock. When I set up a live trade I run a live trade and a sim to compare execution pricing. I have a generic take profit at 2%,1% or 5%/2% and a stop loss at 15% or 20% and use whichever works best in backtest. I am looking for better exit strategies and have tried dozens but these seem to work best for now. If you have a better exit strategy please post it. These strategies are optimized to eliminate loosing trades even it results in less gain

The oversold 10/20 EMA crossover

The main idea behind this intraday strategy is quite simple; It enters a long position when a 5m 10 EMA crosses above a 20 EMA, but only if the 30 EMA is above the 20 EMA. At first glance, this may seem counterintuitive, but the second condition enables the entry to occur when the market is slightly oversold (due to the 20 EMA being below the 30). The position is closed via a trailing take profit of 0.4%, 0.2% or at loss of 0.2%.

This trading system does not hold overnight positions, it will therefore close any open position at 3:58 PM EST. This strategy is unlikely to outperform the market (Buy&Hold) during a strong trend, as it enters below overbought levels.

Double RSI Entry

This strategy uses two RSI’s for the entry point. One RSI is 2,Day and the other is 2,5M. To vary the entry for minimum losing trades you can change the value of the RSI from 35-30 down to get less entry’s. You can also vary the days and minutes. Changing the days from 2 to a higher number will decrease the amount of entry’s. Also changing the 5m to 15m will give you less entries.

These strategies are optimized to eliminate loosing trades even it results in less gain. Shout out to Qi2, I believe he first posted a version of this strategy with the double RSI and I tuned it for SOXL. I believe my contribution was the exit strategy that improved the profitability for this particular stock

The Lone Soldier is a bullish reversal candlestick pattern that typically occurs at the end of a downtrend. This pattern is particularly strong when it appears after a period of protracted selling (2022), and it implies that a trend reversal might be likely. An additional consideration is candle size, the bigger the candle, the more significant the reversal is likely to be over the next 24 hours to 4 Days holding (exit) period.

A trade theory designed to capture the bounce, with the key element in being the time. The market has such an extreme and quick selloff in order to trigger this system that the stock either bounces back immediately or flounders about. If the latter, then we promptly close the trade, within the thirty minutes following the entry bar or an exit can be a percent based (1%-3%) exit or a time based exit (1 Day-4 Days)

A simple two rule moving average system that allows you to quantify the buy low and sell trade theory. Traders and investors who buy the dip of an asset, believe that its fundamentals are strong, making its appreciation most likely. So when a stock dips in price, which could be for a matter of minutes, hours, or days, they pick it up at a reduced cost and then reap the gains when it re-assume s its march upwards.
